The Activity
Overview
Six-a-side cricket is an event for the boy’s. The competition is split into the two age groups (junior and intermediate) with matches taking place in the summer term. Matches for each both age groups are played after school in a tournament style from 4.15pm – 5.30pm.
Rules
- Each team will have six players with one reserve in case a student is unable to play on the day.
- Each innings will consist of FIVE six ball overs.
- Every player must bowl one over except for the wicket keeper.
- "Wide" deliveries and “no balls” will count for 4 runs and will not be re-bowled (these 4 runs will be added to any scored from the no ball or wide).
- Players must retire on 30 runs but may come in again at the end if required.
- Last man stands with fully kitted out runner to pair him.
- The winners from the first games will play each other for first and second place whilst the two losing teams will play for third and forth place.
House points available are:
1st place = 100 points
2nd place = 75 points
3rd place = 50 points
4th place = 25 points
As always each full team will be awarded ten extra house points
