The Activity
Overview
Rugby 7’s is an event for the boy’s. The competition is split into the three age groups (junior, intermediate and senior) with matches taking place towards the end of the spring term. Matches for each age group are played in a tournament style on one evening, from 4.15pm – 5.30pm at school.
Rules
- Games will be played for 7 minutes each way with a one minute half time for substitutions.
- Teams will play with as many students as they have.
- Each house must provide a forth, fifth or sixth form student to assist with officiating.
- Teams will be awarded the following tournament points:
win = 5 points
draw = 3 points
loss (if scoring half of the other teams goals) = 2
loss (if not scoring half of the other teams goals) = 1 point
House points available for this activity are:
1st place = 100 points
2nd place = 75 points
3rd place = 50 points
4th place = 25 points
As always each full team will be awarded ten extra house points
