BAG FOR BOOKS - CLARIFICATION

1. The bag used for books must be a separate one to that used for Games equipment.

Reason: dirty hockey boots, wet towels, etc., damage books.

2. The essential criteria for the bag used to transport books is that it must give adequate protection to the books during journeys to and from school and when stacked in the cloakrooms, etc.

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT SUITABLE:

a)     Large sports holdalls which allow books to slide about and also create a storage problem in classrooms and corridors.

b)      Thin nylon, plastic, cloth and hessian bags do NOT give adequate protection to books.

A storage bag to support the weight of books is essential (sports holdalls are unsuitable for this purpose and not allowed).
