On Wednesday this week, the Ripon Grammar School Greenpower team raced their two electric cars, the Carbon comet and the Electric Chair at the Croft racing circuit near Darlington, against thirty other schools from the North of England.
Our two teams were placed third and ninth respectively after four hours of gruelling racing, beating local opposition from King James’s School, St Aidan’s, Raincliffe, and QEGS.
This result secures them a place at the National final at Goodwood in October. This is the seventh year in succession that the team have made it to the final.
