Florence takes on panto role

A BUDDING young RGS actress is looking forward to performing in a professional pantomime.

Florence Anderson,14, will be taking to the stage for Harrogate Theatre’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

The teenager, who hopes to pursue a career in the West End, has been selected for the dance chorus and will be performing in 25 shows from November 28 to January 18.

She began training in dance and drama when she joined Ripon’s Upstage Academy at the age of seven and has previously performed at Harrogate Theatre and Harrogate and Skipton drama and music festivals.

She has performed a number of major roles with Upstage Academy, including Little Red in Into the Woods and Summer Hathaway in The School of Rock, both at Harrogate Theatre.
