Haworth visit 5th December 2016

Thirty five intrepid lower sixth students journeyed to Haworth this week as part of their studies of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights. A day of lectures from the staff of the Bronte Parsonage Museum was complemented by a guided tour of the graveyard, church and village, bringing to life the realities of nineteenth century life for the A level Literature students. Many were struck by the museum’s collected artefacts from the Bronte sisters’ lives, too, especially their clothes and beautiful miniature books which were the precursors to the novels we know today.
