Poetry Festival

Seven intrepid pupils spent Saturday 14th October interviewing the public and observing the bustle of a Saturday in Ripon before using their observations to create a lengthy 'crowd poem' (attached). The pupils were a pleasure to work with, and the two professional writers, Sarah Moor and Andy Croft, who worked with them were impressed by their maturity and enthusiasm. The final drafts were distilled into the attached poem, and read aloud by three of the pupils at the evening launch of the book of the Poetry Festival. We hope this will become an annual event.
