Boarding fees

We offer two types of boarding at Ripon Grammar School:

  • Weekly Boarding - where students return home on Fridays and return to school on Sunday night or Monday morning.
  • Full Boarding - where students are resident for the full term, excluding half-term holidays.

Please note the following about our fees which make us typically one third the cost of independent school boarding:

  • Educational tuition is FREE. RGS is one of only 38 state boarding schools so our grammar school education has no charge.
  • There is no VAT applied to our fees. State boarding schools are exempt.
  • There are no hidden extras in our fee structure.
