Miss C Lancaster
Mrs J Dale
The examinations office is responsible for the organisation of all internal and external examinations.
It is the aim of Ripon Grammar School to make the examination experience as free from stress and as successful as possible for all candidates.
If students or parents have any queries or need help or advice at any time before, during or after the examinations please contact the exams office staff via email: email@example.com alternatively, refer to the examinations frequently asked questions. page.
Internal examinations are scheduled throughout the year (see schedule below) and students are issued with their own timetable to help formulate their own revision plan. Third to sixth form examinations are scheduled to take place in the gymnasium and students are expected to follow the rules of external examinations. First and second form examinations take place in classrooms.
|Year Group||Internal Examination Dates 2019/20|

The practical examinations, assessments and controlled assessments take place throughout the school year as notified by the head of subject.
For external examinations all students will receive a personalised entry checking form via their form tutors. This form should be signed and return to the examinations office. Students are then issued with a personalised timetable along with a copy of an examinations booklet which explains all the rules and regulations students must follow when sitting their examinations.
It is vital that all students arrive for their exams on time, with all their equipment and fully prepared.
We appreciate that exams can be a stressful time for students. If any student does have any queries or concerns they can see Miss Lancaster or Mrs Dale in the Exams office (Admin Corridor) at break, lunchtime or after school
Certificates are usually available for collection on speech day for A-Level students. AS-Level and GCSE students will be informed, via their form tutor, when certificates are available for collection. Certificates will not be given to anyone other than the candidate without the candidate’s written authorisation.
Ripon Grammar School is only obliged to keep certificates for a period of one year after issue. If candidates do not collect their certificates within this time (or if they lose their certificates) they can only be replaced by direct application to the appropriate examination boards. This will require proof of identity (such as a birth certificate) and a substantial fee per examination board. You are therefore urged to collect your certificates and to keep them safely.
