Careers and Higher Education Evening on Wednesday 14th March 2018, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm
I am writing to remind you about the Careers and Higher Education Evening to be held in school on Wednesday 14th March, from 6:30 to 8:30pm. I do hope that you will be able to come along to meet with representatives from sixty organisations, companies and Higher Education institutions and to hear about opportunities for careers within the science, technology, engineering, maths and sport sectors. The participating universities and colleges will additionally be able to advise students about study across all subject areas.
Many of the organisations offer training schemes and apprenticeships, and will be able to offer advice about the increasing number of alternative routes available, both for post 16 and 18 employment and study, including apprenticeships and sponsored degree schemes.
Due to the large number of organisations taking part, families are asked to park outside of the school grounds as the school car park will be full by this point in the evening, with exhibitors’ vehicles. Outwood Academy have very kindly agreed to open their car park to facilitate parking difficulties and we would ask that you use this in addition to the coach park and on-street parking.
Students and parents should register in the school foyer, where you will be given a booklet with information on each of the organisations represented, together with a floor plan to show where each stand is situated.
I look forward to seeing you in school on Wednesday.
