WELL done to our sixth form debaters who have progressed through to the next regional round of a major English secondary schools debating tournament.
Nancy Manners, Annabel Cochrane and Katy Thody were up against a team from Queen Mary's School at the English-Speaking Union Schools' Mace competition held at St Aidan's Church of England High School in Harrogate.
Their debate centred around imposing a tourism tax on major cities facing over-tourism.
Other members of the debating society attended to learn from the experience.
