Students excel in Cambridge chemistry challenge

TWELVE RGS students excelled in a University of Cambridge chemistry challenge, having volunteered to test their knowledge and ability in a 90-minute written paper.

Designed to stretch students interested in studying chemistry at university, six RGS students were awarded silver certificates for showing outstanding understanding of chemistry and the ability to apply it to different contexts.

Up against 8,400 other entrants, a further six students were awarded copper level certificates from the University of Cambridge chemistry department, having demonstrated a sound knowledge and understanding of the key principles of A-level chemistry.
