House Report Spring Term

In what was a busy term for house events, Hutton have emerged as the strongest contenders to take the house cup as we enter a pivotal summer term.

A major highlight from the term was the boys’ house swimming with Porteus winning the Junior age group and Hutton winning the Inters. The first year house cricket competition took place before Easter and doubled as a pre-season trial, with school house taking the main prize, the boys also enjoyed the BBQ despite the chilly weather. In the 4th year girls Dance competition it was De Grey who finished first in what was a tough decision for the judging panel. The boys house football was another major event with De Grey House dominating, winning the first and second form competitions.

Anticipation will now build towards the pinnacle of the house competition in sports day with Porteus looking to do another clean sweep following last year’s success. The house cricket competitions will also return with the added feature of a BBQ and T20 style musical entertainment. House rounders’ and tennis will also feature in the final half term with it all still to play for.
