DofE: Bronze practice expedition photo gallery

HUGE congratulations to our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award students who have all successfully completed their practice expeditions, having overcome a number of considerable challenges. Some encountered challenging weather conditions across uplands during their trek from Pateley Bridge to camp at Thruscross, then back to Pateley Bridge. Impressed instructors praised them for digging so deep to complete the challenge: ‘A huge well done to all the young people involved’ Others demonstrated excellent navigational skills when they encountered a closed footpath and found an alternative route, through a woodland section with some very steep hills! Instructors praised their attention to detail and said participants showed great leadership potential.

Also a big shout to Grace who became the first RGS participant this year to pass the qualifying expedition!
