RIPON Grammar School has been praised by a prestigious national schools’ guide.
“Forward thinking, down-to-earth and pupil focused, this is a place that cares about the whole child and makes sure they come out not just with good results but well-rounded and ready for the next steps.”
That’s the verdict of the Good Schools Guide, (GSG) whose representative visited RGS in March and gave it a glowing report.
As one local employer told us, he added: “If you are interviewing someone who has been to RGS you know they will be something special.”
The GSG observed that, as the only co-educational, selective, state grammar school with boarding in the north of England: “Ripon Grammar has a unique offer.”
The Good Schools Guide is one of Britain’s most respected independent guides, publishing detailed reviews of 1,200 schools every year.
It states: ‘Unlike other websites, schools can't pay to be included in The Good Schools Guide. This means our review of this school is independent, critical and fair, and written with parents' best interests at heart.’
The GSG report follows The Sunday Times naming the school ‘The top state school in the North’, the twelfth time the school has earned the accolade.
