GEOGRAPHY: World class lockdown work

OUR young geographers have been impressing their teachers with the world class projects they have produced from home towards the end of lockdown.

Year 7 students rose to the challenge of creating an African biome – a large area characterised by its vegetation, soil and wildlife, with common characteristics formed in response to a shared physical climate and environment – in a box.

Taking into account Africa’s great diversity of environmental conditions, bisected by the equator and including tropical forests, woodland, savanna, grassland and desert, home to a huge array of animals, students produced a stunning collection of biome displays.
