Aspiring lawyers get their teeth into a real case

Head of careers BOB WALKER reports on a stimulating case study day enjoyed by aspiring lawyers from RGS

ASPIRING lower sixth form legal eagles were given the opportunity to take part in a University of Law activity based in Leeds.

Working in groups, they were introduced into the world of law and given a past case to weigh up, whilst examining the evidence to see if the witness statements and cross examinations were reliable.

They ultimately had to decide whether the alleged perpetrators were guilty or not guilty.

As well as discussing the importance of solid evidence, they were briefed on how a court room is organised and how the case would proceed.

The good news is that the University of Law will be attending our action-packed Careers Fair on March 14, starting at 6.30pm, where you can find out more about the exciting courses they offer around the country.
