ASPIRING sixth form medics received invaluable advice from former student Lucie Brown, who returned to school to share her experiences of studying medicine at Queen’s University Belfast.
Lucie, who has just completed her second year of medical training, flew back especially to speak to students about the journey into medicine.
She provided practical guidance on the application process, including the national admissions test, interviews, and the academic and clinical work involved in studying for a medical degree. She also gave an insight into what lies ahead over the coming years of her training.
Students also enjoyed hearing about life in the vibrant city of Belfast and the opportunities available to those studying there.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Lucie for taking the time to return to school and inspire the next generation of medics. Her support and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated by both students and staff.
