Back to school: Seventies reunions

THERE was lots to catch up on when we welcomed past pupils who left in 1973 and in 1971 back to school for recent reunions.

Alongside getting back together with old schoolmates, some former teachers joined in the fun.

The Old Riponians' alumni committee and Ripon Grammar School are keen to help any other year groups who would like to revisit the school and Ripon. Please email oldriponians@gmail.com.

Photographs show 1971 leavers, who enjoyed a number of jovial pub meals and a tour of RGS during a great weekend of chat and reminiscing. They were delighted to be joined by two of their inspirational teachers, Ben Smith (geography) and David Postlethwaite (chemistry).
